WAKO Junior Kick Boxing National Championship 2016. Budding physios of BPT final year & third year students of IAMR worked as a physiotherapist for that event, held at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi. Physiotherapist got chance to meet, chat & share the experience of Wrestling Guru Satya pal, Coach of Wrestling & was awarded Doranacharya Award in 2009, Arjun Award in 1974 and Padamshri in 1983 Padma Bhushan, the third highest civilian award of India, in 2015.

On 6th Dec 2015, students of our physiotherapy department worked voluntary to treat various participants under different categories, varies from age 5 to 18, in T10 sports JUNIORUN at Police training complex, Gurgaon Students also got chance to interact with chief guest of this event who are Mr.Akhil Kumar, international boxer and an olympion along with Mr.Anoop Kumar, world known kabaddi superstar and Indian champion (YuMumba). All our students also experienced a great exposure and learning under our physio alumni Dr. Vishal Anand - Dsp Haryana police. T10 JUNIORUN MARATHON directed by Mr.Siddharth Chaudhary and their team, powered by GURGAON ROAD RUNNERS and also sponsored by various big names of the corporate world.

Topic : MEDICAL CAMP

 

IAMR Physiotherapy department organized a free Medical & physiotherapy camp. We often organize camp in villages near by IAMR. This time students have seen a huge number of patients turned up with various disease and problems of ADLs. Students got an opportunity to practically learn various techniques and how to deal with patient under the guidance of our faculty member. In this medical camp over 115 patients were treated for various diseases like Hemiplegia, Cerebral Palsy, low back pain, cervical pain, shoulder pain, knee pain etc. they were also given beneficial advices to stay fit and healthy.

: Glacier sporting league a dream & successful initiative by IAMR ALUMINI Dr. Vishal Anand (2005-2009 BPT batch & physiotherapist of British Handball Association).In which 16 of biggest schools from Delhi NCR fought for the best Football talent. Budding physios of BPT final year students of IAMR worked as a physiotherapist for that event, held at JLN Stadium, New Delhi. Physiotherapist got chance to meet, chat & share the experience of Mr. Akhil Kumar ,Olympian Boxer, Arjun Award winner with his wife Mrs. Poonam ,Coach of Women Boxer Team as the guest of Honour of that event.

64th inter school Athletics meet was held at I.A.M.R (MEERUT Campus) in which more than 50 school in Meerut district participate in various events. The event was a wonderful experience for the students as they gain on field experience on shin splint, muscle sprain & various sports related injuries

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, IAMR Physiotherapy department organised a free physiotherapy camp in the Morta village, Ghaziabad. We often organise camp in villages near by IAMR. This time students have seen a huge number of patients turned up with various disease and problems of ADLs. Students got an opportunity to practically learn various techniques and how to deal with patient under the guidance of our faculty member. In this medical camp over 70 patients were treated for various diseases like low back pain, cervical pain, shoulder pain, knee pain etc. they were also given beneficial advices to stay fit and healthy.

On the occasion of Republic Day, IAMR had organised a free physiotherapy camp in the village Morta. In this medical camp over 60 patients were seen of various diseases like low back pain, cervical pain, shoulder pain, knee pain etc. were treated as well as beneficial advices were given. Our faculty members and students of BPT 3rd Year and BPT 4th Year actively participated in this event.

On 17th and 24th September 2011, Saturday, IAMR Institute and Kamal Hospital organised a "Free Physiotherapy and Orthopaedic Camp" at Kamal Hospital, Kaushambi, Ghaziabad. Over 100 Patients were treated and the organisation took the responsibility of providing all necessary therapeutic advices. We were honoured by the presence of Dr. T. B. Singh Arora, CMD of Kamal Hospital who officiated the closing down ceremony of the medical camp. Also provided appreciations to all the physiotherapists and volunteers.

Over 80 Patients were treated and the organisation took the responsibility of providing all necessary therapeutic advices. We were honoured by the presence of Dr. T. B. 17th Common Wealth Karate championship's contest was held in Ghaziabad's Sports stadium on 8th & 9th May 2010. District Magistrate Shri R. Ramesh Kumar cut the ribbon for official opening on the championship different state level player from Maharashtra, Bihar, Rajasthan, Jharkhand etc. and International level player participated in Championship. IAMR organised a physiotherapy camp on the occasion of Common Wealth Games at Mahamaya Sports Center situated in Ghaziabad wherein the students provided an immediate medical aid & physiotherapy to the players in the guidance of Head of the Department Dr. Shagun Aggarwal & Lecturer Dr. Vijeta Arora, Anjali Goyal, Smriti & Harsh students of MPT took part in the two days camp. Students gave some fitness tips to the players and also educated them about the importance of Pre-Competition exercises.

IAMR organized a Blood Donation Camp in partnership with Rotary Club on 9th March 2010 in its Physiotherapy Department. Over 100 volunteers including IAMR faculty and students donated blood on this noble occasion. The response was tremendous which surpassed the previous year’s record. The event was inaugurated at 9:00 AM by Shri. R.K Gupta, Chairman (IAMR Group) and Shri. Sanjay Bansal, Secretary (IAMR Group). Shri. Sanjay Bansal took the lead along with the faculty of physiotherapy which inspires other to donate their blood. Catchy slogans like “Be Proud to be a Donor”, “No one shall die for want of blood” were displayed at prominent places throughout the college and on notice boards which resulted in this overwhelming response from faculty and students. We hope more and more organizations will come forward to support this cause and spread the awareness across the whole nation.
